Updates:
Our GIRLS TEAM opened play this first week in a match
at LSU. We shot an 81 to place 2nd out of 3 teams. Taylor
G had a 40, followed by Brooke S with a 41, and Elena R shot
a 54 in the difficult windy conditions with sporadic rain.
The team finished the week with a win in a match at Webb
Park. Both Taylor G and Brooke S shot 43 and tied for first
place individually. Congratulations!
Our GIRLS TEAM had the
first match in this second week cancelled due to inclement
weather. We played at Copper Mill and placed 2nd in our
second match this week. We were led by Taylor G with her
37 as she placed 2nd individually, Brooke S had a 43, and
Elena R a 51. The team score total was an 80. Taylor's score
is a personal best and a school record tying score in relation
to par. Way to go!!
Our GIRLS TEAM played this third week at LSU in
the first match. Our team placed 2nd as Brooke S shot a
42 on the par 37 course, and Elena R had a 44 with
2 birdies. The second match was cancelled due to rain.
Our GIRLS TEAM played this fourth week at The Island.
Our team shot an 88 to place 2nd. We were led by Elena
R with a 43 as she placed 3rd individually, Taylor G shot
45, and Brooke S a 46. The teams placed 3rd in the match
at Beaver Creek. Brooke S led the team with a 41, and Taylor
G shot a 45.
Our GIRLS TEAM played this fifth week at Beaver
Creek in a match which we won. Our girls were led by
a 1st place individual finish with Taylor G firing a 39,
followed by Brooke S capturing 2nd with a 42, and Elena
R grabbed
3rd with a 43. At Copper Mill, our team placed 2nd with
a team score of 74 to set a school record for team score.
Taylor G shot a 36 to set a school record for an individual
score. Brooke S shot a personal best score of 38. Congratulations!
At the Golden Tor Invitational over the weekend, our girls
placed 2nd overall. We were led by Taylor G and her 82
as she finished in 3rd place as an individual. Brooke S
shot a 97, Elena R a 10and Kalynn C a 134.
Our GIRLS TEAM played this sixth week at Santa
Maria in a match that resulted in a team victory. Taylor
G and Brooke S each had matching scores of 44 to both place
1st individually, Rosemary P shot a 60. In our
match at Webb Park, our team placed 2nd. We were led by
Taylor G who placed 3rd individually with a 42, followed
by Brooke S with a 43, and Rosemary P and her 53.
Our GIRLS TEAM played this seventh week beginning
with a match at Sherwood Forest Country Club with wind
gusts up to 40 MPH. We were led by Taylor G who shot 39
on the par 37 course, followed
by Brooke S who shot 45, and Elena R who shot 49. Taylor
G and Brooke S placed 2nd and 3rd individually and our
team placed 1st in the match. Our girls finished the regular
season by winning the match at Beaver Creek. Conditions
were cold and windy. Taylor G placed 1st individually with
a 1 over par score of 37,
Brooke
S shot a 44 to place 2nd, and Rosemary P had a 59.
Our GIRLS TEAM played this eighth week in the all-class
Metro Golf Championship. Taylor G made 6 birdies on her
way to shooting a 71 on the par 72 Beaver Creek Course
in Zachary. She is the Individual Metro Champion as
she led the field of 9 teams. Brooke S shot an 88, Elena
R
an 89, Rosemary P a 108, and Kalynn C a 115. Our team score
of 159 captured 2nd place, our highest finish ever! Taylor's
score and our team score are school records!! The Knights
will
play
in
the
Division II Regional at LSU next week. Congratulations!!!
Our GIRLS
TEAM played this ninth week at the Division II, Region
II Tournament at LSU. Taylor G shot an 80, Brooke S an
81, and Elena R an 83 for the team to capture the Regional
Championship. Taylor G placed 2nd, Brooke S finished
3rd, and Elena R placed 4th individually as the Knights
romped
to victory. Next up is the State Tournament at Copper Mill
in Zachary! Good luck!
Our GIRLS TEAM played this tenth week at the Division
II State Tournament at Copper Mill in Zachary. Taylor G
shot rounds of 80 and 77 to place 2nd individually. Brooke
S shot 77 and 81 to place 3rd, and Elena R shot 94 and
95 to finish in 15th place. Our team captured the victory
in the 10 team event by 19 shots to finish as State
Champions!!
Our team score of 315 is a school record! This is our school's
first ever girls state championship! Congratulations to
the team!!!
The BOYS TEAM began play this week. Denis M placed
3rd individually with a round of 50 in the first match
of the season at Santa Maria. In our second match played
at Beaver Creek our team placed first with a team total
of 174. Landon L shot a 2 under round of 34. Denis M and
Lane R each had a 46.
The BOYS TEAM played its first match this second
week at Santa Maria. The team shot 182 to place 2nd out
of 3 teams. Landon L won the match individually with his
even par score of 36, both Denis M and Lane R shot 46 each,
and Tyler H had a 54. In our second match, our team placed
3rd with a score of 184 at The Lakes golf course. Landon
L placed 3rd individually with a 38, followed by Jared
A and his 42.
The BOYS TEAM played its first match this third
week at Sherwood Forest Country Club. We only had 3 boys
but we were led by Landon L who shot a 1 under par score
of 34 to place 1st individually. Lane R shot a 48. Our
second match was played at Copper Mill and Landon L shot
a 2 under par score of 34 to place 1st individually for
his second individual title in a week. Denis M shot a 45,
and Lane R had a 47.
The BOYS TEAM played its first match this fourth
week at Santa Maria. Landon L placed 1st individually with
a 41, followed by a 47 shot by Lane R. In our second match
played at Greystone, the team placed 3rd. We were led by
Landon L with his 41, both Jared A and Lane R shot a 43,
and Denis M a 54.
At the Golden Tor Invitational over the weekend, our boys
placed 14th. We were led by Landon L with his 3 birdie
round of 70 to shoot 1 under as he placed 2nd out of 70
golfers, Denis M shot a 97, Lane R a 105, and Talbot Q
a 113.
The BOYS TEAM played its first match this fifth
week at The Island with the wind gusting up to 40+ MPH. Jarod
A shot a 50 to lead the team. In our second match, which
was held on a cold and very windy day at Webb Park, Landon
L placed 2nd individually with a 2 under par score of 34,
followed by Denis M and his 52, and Talbot Q with a 53.
The BOYS TEAM played this sixth
week at Santa Maria and at Copper Mill. In the first match,
Landon L placed 2nd individually by shooting an even par
round of 36, followed by Jared A and his 39, Denis M shot
47, Talbot Q a 49, and Lane R a 52. The team placed 3rd
with the score of 171. In the second match, Landon L placed
1st with his round of 38, Jared A shot 44, Denis M a 48,
Lane R a 50, and Talbot Q a 52. The team placed 2nd overall.
The BOYS TEAM played its first match this seventh
week at LSU and Landon L shot a 4 under par score of 33 to
win the match and Jared A shot a 38 to place 4th. Lane
R shot a 48, and Denis M and Talbot Q each had a 51. The
team placed 4th. In our match at Santa Maria Landon L shot
a 39 to place 2nd individually, Jared A shot 43, Denis
M and Talbot Q shot 47, and Lane R had a 49. The team placed
2nd.
Our BOYS TEAM played this eighth week in the all-class
Metro Golf Championship. Landon L made 3 birdies on his
way to shooting an even par score of 72 on the Santa Maria
Golf Course. He is the Individual

he led the field of 12 teams and 72 golfers. Jared A shot
a 75 and finished 5th individually, Denis M had a 92, Lane
R had a 102, and Talbot Q shot a 108. Our
team
score of 341 captured a very respectable 5th place!
The Knights will play in the Division IV Regional at Belle
Terre next week. Congratulations!!!
Our BOYS TEAM played this ninth week in the Division
IV, Region III Tournament at Belle Terre in LaPlace. Our
team placed 3rd with a team score of 335, our season's
best score, to advance to next week's State Tournament
on April 28, 29 at Links on the Bayou in Alexandria. Landon
L is the Individual
Regional Champion as
he led the field with a 1 under par score of 71. Jared
A shot a 74 to place 2nd, both Denis M and Lane R shot
a 95, and Talbot Q had a 99. Good luck at State!!!
Our BOYS TEAM played this tenth week in the Division
IV, State Tournament at the Links on the Bayou Golf Course
in Alexandria. The team shot 336 on the first day, and
341
on day two
for a total score of 677 to place 7th overall. We were
led by Landon L who had 7 birdies on the first day to shoot
a 65. His round was 1 shot off the all-class state record
of 64 held by Episcopal's Andrew Loupe at the same site
in 2005. Landon's fabulous round had
17 greens-in-regulation, and he chipped in for birdie on
the
one green he missed! His second day even par score of 72
gave him a total of 7-under to win the Individual
State Championship. Congratulations, Landon! This
is the school's fourth individual title in 21 years. Jared
A shot rounds of 82, and 75. His day two round was punctuated
with 5 birdies! Denis M shot 92, and 99. Talbot Q had a
97, followed by a 99. Lane R shot 103, and a 95. Congratulations
to the team!
