Algebra
II Honors: These courses extend the concepts
and applications introduced in Algebra I in preparation for
advanced study in mathematics and science. Major emphasis
is given to formulating and using algebraic equations, functions,
graphs, data and critical thinking in a broad range of situations.
Placement in honors course is done by the department.
AP Calculus AB:
This year-long course presents the equivalent of one semester
of college level calculus. Topics include derivatives, integrals
and their applications. At the end of the course, the student
should be prepared for the Advanced Placement Calculus AB
Exam. Prerequisite: Precalculus Honors. Students wishing to
take AP calculus must follow AP course request guidelines.
