Eight Episcopal students earned spots on the District Honor Choir following auditions on Sept. 11 at Catholic High School.

The students are Evan Scott, Kelly Murtagh, Bret Wilson, Carter Smith, Danielle Shockey, Lizzie Stewart, Robert Stewart and Stephanie Bayne. They were chosen for the 120-member choir from approximately 300 students who auditioned.

Additionally, Evan Scott, Kelly Murtagh, Lizzie Stewart and Bret Wilson were among 40 students who qualified for All-State auditions, which will be held on Oct. 9 in Lafayette.

The District Choir will perform on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
