Episcopal Students in all divisions have been
working to raise funds for tsunami relief. Approximately $5300
has been collected to-date, with more contributions still coming
in.
- Middle School students contributed $3303.08 raised from initiatives
led by Jr. Beta Club, Key Club Builders, and Student Council.
- Lower School students contributed approximately $1700 to the
relief fund.
- The Upper School Key Club has challenged all clubs to ask their members to participate.
- Half the proceeds from this year's Winter Formal will be donated to tsunami relief.
- A collection basket has been placed in the chapel during all services for individual donations.
- Other student organizations participating are Upper School
Student Council and Upper School Beta Club.
All funds raised by the school are being sent to Episcopal Relief and Development. The benefit of this agency is that many administrative costs (such as salaries) are funded by the national church. Therefore most of the monies contributed actually go where the need is.
